Closing of Michigan Mile, Governors Handicap Nears DETROIT RACE COURSE, Livonia, Mich., June 10. — Racing secretary-handi-capper Charles J. McLennan calls attention of turfmen, to the closing of entries Wednesday, June 15, for the 0,000 Michigan Mile. The eight furlongs allowance stake for three-year-olds and: older will have its renewal at the local course Saturday, July 9. Nominations for the 0,000 Governors Handicap at six furlongs and also for three-year-olds and upward, must be in Saturday, June 18. The Governors will be run here this year on Independence Day.
