Cox to Undergo Surgery NEWPORT, Pa., June 23 UP. Billy Cox, who announced he" was quitting baseball hoursfter he was traded by Baltimore to Cleveland last week will enter Polyclinic Hospital here "probably next week" for an operation on a groin hernia. Cox had kept the groin injury a secret and confided it to his wife only after she urged him to reconsider his decision to quit baseball. He had said his reason for quitting was that his legs were gone.
