Ak-Sar-Ben Futurity Heads Omaha Program Homebred Juvenile Event Draws Twenty-Five, Forcing Division AK-SAR-BEN, Omaha, Nebr., June 23. The Ak-Sar-Ben Futurity, top event of the meeting for homebred juveniles, to be decided at five furlongs, drew 25 entries this morning and will be decided in two divisions on Fridays program. Each division will carry ,000-added purse money, the original advertised purse and the second division, carded as the fifth race, will have 13 of the juveniles going postward, with the remainder making up the field for the fourth event. The fifth race has O. Topliffs Tea Hostess, to be ridden by Robert Ford, and Ed Luthers Wild Grace, with Tommy Os-ment to do the riding, appearing best of the group, and in the first division, A. H. Hig-gins Powdered Again, to be handled by Sonny Ray Williams, appears to hold a slight edge, with chief contention expected to come from R. Godfreys Royal George and Gracie Ann, owned by J. W. Smith and T. W. Gatewood. The Madison Purse, a claiming event for three-year-olds at six furlongs, offers a purse of ,500, and will serve as the sixth event. Earl Moyer of Madison, Nebr., chairman of the Nebraska State Racing Commission, will visit Ak-Sar-Ben for the event, accompanied by a large delegation from the Madison race meeting, which gets under way July 7. The full field for the Madison includes such speedsters as E. K. Careys Jaycile, Red Spec, owned by W. D. Rorick, and L. O. Lane, and the White Spot Farms Yes Doll.
