PIPING ECHO went to the front early, gave way to LOVELY HEART before reaching the stretch, came again when set down jn the drive and, taking command, held DESTINO MISS safe. The latter, away fast and never far back, finished willingly under punishment, was unable to hold the top one, although much the best of the others. HIGH GAME was unable to reach the leaders when set down through the stretch. TIGER TRIP raced wide. PRINCESS STELL tired during the drive. ECK-HEART failed to stay when hard ridden through the stretch. LOVELY HEART moved up fast after beginning slowly and raced with PIPINGT ECHO for a half mile, .then stopped badly when set down in the drive. FAIR HOLIDAY was never prominent and had no excuse. FAR SON moved up fast approaching the strethh, settled for the drive with a clear lead and retained the advantage to the finish while under brisk handling. CHERRY STONE went to the front at once, made the pace until challenged by FAR SON, was unable to stay with the winner but held on gamely to best GEOFFREY G. The latter, in hand to the upper turn, made a good bid in the early stretch, then faltered nearing the finish. MAIDENS REWARD could not better her position when let down for the drive. KINGS TIP had early foot but failed to stay. JAKANOR raced wide. OUR SUSAN showed nothing. FREEDOM FIRST had brief speed, then quit. Scratched 52645 Rebounder, 116. GREATER tired after showing early speed. SISTER BIGGER made a mild bid approaching the stretch, then weakened. BATER BREATH was never dangerous and drifted to the outside during the drive. CHIC WAVE, well placed from the outset, went to the front approaching the stretch and settled for the drive with a clear lead but could not hold the top one. BIG CAT, reserved to the stretch, finished determinedly under urging. MR. G. lacked early foot. COLONEL JETT dropped back when caught in close quarters nearing the first turn and failed to rally when set down in the drive. STRAY .GIFT tired after racing well to the stretch.
