DONNA saved ground while improving position to the stretch, was sent between horses during the drive and. disposing of the leaders, held POINT BARROW safe. The latter, outrun early and forced to race wide to the stretch, closed strongly when set down in the drive but could not overtake the top one; PERT CHIC, a sharp factor from the start, made a good bid in the early stretch, then faltered. BOSTON MON gave a good performance and had no excuse. AK PRINCESS began fast, set the pace to the last eighth mile, then weakened. GRAY BEN tired during the drive. BOBBY W. was never dangerous. GAMBELLA had early foot but failed to stay. MISS ELLARAY raced far back throughout. SMALL STAR was through early. HIHOJUDY showed nothing. RAYS PRIDE, well handled and never far back, responded readily when set down through the stretch and, disposing of MARSE ROBERT, held PETITE LASSIE safe. The latter, forwardly placed from the start, held cn determinedly but was not good enough for the top one FAIR BIT lacked early speed but closed fast in the middle of the track. MARSE ROBERT took an early lead made the pace until inside the stretch, then faltered when challenaed by RAYS PRIDE. SWEET FREEDOM raced evenly without mishap. WOOD H failed to rally when set down for the drive. EMERALD BELLE was never dangerous. WINNING began sluggishly. SOME FRIEND could not keep up. SWATCH was through early. DOMAGE had on excuse. WONDER BOY, a sharp factor from the start, took command from KIND MOUD approaching the stretch, responded readily when set down in the drive and held LADDIES SIS safe, but won with little left. LADDIES SIS, forwardly placed from the outset, finished determinedly under brisk urging but could not overtake the winner. PIETS SON closed strongly in a good performance MIZ ZARETA, forced slightly wide entering the stretch, finished willingly when straightened for the drive BELBOOTS had early foot but failed to stay. CAROLYN W. began sluggishly, was hustled to reach serious contention and tired during the stretch run. PAY TRAIN had no excuse: WHY STEP was outrun. KIND MOUD took an early lead, raced well to the stretch, then gave way. DEER.-ACE saved ground the entire trip but failed to reach serious contention. GRAND PARIS raced wide. ROSEFLARE showed nothing. DANCE DARLING bore in badly during the stretch run, losing all chance. BIG LIFT raced far back throughout. FLO D. stumbled immediately after the break and failed to recover. I DARE YOU had no mishap. NEWTON AIRDS raced far back the entire trip, showing nothing.
