ARRANGE BOOKS AT GANSETTi I Racing Secretary and Staff Deliver Conditions to Printer Nine Stakes on Schedule. PAWTUCKET, R. X, Oct. 5. With the arrival of racing secretary Bob Shelley, from i Toronto, his assistants, Jimmy Ross and W. Dahlstrom, from Havre de Grace, and ! Horace Wade, from Springfield, arrangements for the fall meeting racing at Nar-ragansett, which opens October 13, are proceeding apace. The first condition book, covering the first eleven days of the meeting, was delivered from the printers and mailed to all horsemen this morning. As usual, opportunities ; are provided for every grade of horse and horseman. The nine stakes, scheduled for decision during the twenty-seven days of the meeting, while not closing until midnight tonight and which, because of mail from far-off places, will not be completed until next Wednesday, already promise to live up to the high standard set at the summer meeting. The Rhode Island Handicap, a mile and an eighth contest, feature of the closing day card, November 12, holds a potentiality that has compelled the attention of racing America all this season. When the entries are finally compiled, judge James E. Dooley will have an important announcement to make in connection with this race. G. R. "Buddy" Wingfield, ace starter, re-j turns to the despatching point for this meeting, while Sam Nuckols, Tom Thorp and James Doorley will again preside in the! stewards stand.
