DUFFERIN BOOKS ISSUED TORONTO, Ont., Oct. 5.-Condition books for the Dufferin Park meeting from Saturday, October 17 until Saturday, October 22 were distributed among .the horsemen at Long Branch this morning. Racing secretary P. C. Galhger has arranged a splendid program for the final seven days sport in the Dominion. The minimum purse is 00, with a daily feature of 00 or more. Long distance racing will feature the program. The first of these events will be at a mile and three-sixteenths and, on the final day, one of two miles and one-sixteenth. On closing day, Saturday, OctobeV 22, two handicaps with purse values of ,000 each will be offered.
