I .LAUREL PARK TURF NOTES g . ; Scotty Blair, ardent racing enthusiast of Newark, N. J., is taking in some of the racing at Laurel. Jockey O. Laidley, who was suspended by the stewards at Iavre de Grace for rough riding and had his case referred to the Maryland Racing Commission, will be on the ground until Saturday. Laidley was held guilty of rough riding on Larkar. J. Y. Christmas stated that his good sprinter, Rough Time, winner of the Capital Handicap, would be shipped to Jamaica to start in the Interboro Handicap, on Saturday. Tom Smith is pointing Charles S. Howardfs Seabiscuit, winner of the Havre de Grace Handicap, for the Laurel Stakes, to be run Saturday, Oct. 15. The son of Hard Tack is training nicely since his recent victory. Thomas Rodrock checked in with the horses of W. F. Hitt, that were campaigned on the New York tracks most of the season. Wilmer Brinton, who served in the stewards stand at the recent meeting at Wheeling Downs, was a visitor. He reported that the meeting was one of the most successful ever held at the island track. Jockey J. Renick joined the large riding colony at Laurel. Renick is affiliated with the E3. R. Bradley stable and will share mounts with jockey F. A. Smith. Frank Williams, connected with the A. G. Vanderbilt stable, who was injured eleven months ago when he suffered a broken leg, is expected to return to the stable at Pimlico. Trainer Cecil Howard arrived from Chicago with the horses of R. C. Thatcher. Ten jumpers, the property of Thomas Hitchcock, reached Pimlico, and were placed under shelter. They will be vanned to Laurel. Roy Waldron brought" sixteen members of the Milky Way Farm stable here from Belmont Park. Jockey A. Robertson will do the riding for the stable and his engagements are being made by Dave Wilson. There are twenty-two horses on the schooling list of starter James F. Milton at the present time. Trainer Hugh Fontaine arrived with ten horses of the Brookmeade Stable, which will be campaigned in Maryland for the remainder of the fall season. Jockey C. Stevenson will do the bulk of riding. Five jumpers that are being trained by C. I White, were given quarters at Pimlico. The horses Victor P. Noyes raced at I 1 Wheeling Downs were transferred to the Noyes Farm in Long Greenspring Valley. Jockey L. Fallon is nursing an injured hand that was crushed in the door of his automobile. Lucky Teter, daredevil automobile showman, who performed with his squad at Cumberland, Md., during the fair in August, branched into the racing game when he purchased the plater Jolyon from William Zakoor.
