SPORTSMANS PARK OFFICIALS JPitzGerald, Shelley and Graddy Will Act as Stewards. Bob McAuliffe Doubling as Placing Judge and Clerk of Scales Horses Are Arriving Daily. . CICERO, HI., Oct. 5 Officials for the hineteen-day meeting, of the National Jockey jCJub at Sportsmans Park have been approved by the Illinois Racing Commission find they are essentially the same as those ymo handled the meeting here last fall, if Serving in the stewards stand with C. J. jStzGerald, Sr., who represents the commission, will be R. S. Shelley and J. J. Graddy, Awhile Shelley also will serve as racing secretory and handicapper. The placing judges will be R. P. McAuliffe, W. J. Shelley and Floyd Alsbury, McAuliffe doubling as clerk of scales. The fHarter, as for the past few years, will be 3eorge Palmer, while the patrol judges will be John Kissane, William Davis and Lally Collyer, the latter also serving as paddock judge. Charles Trimble will be the timer. JJhe only new member of the official staff ifi Davis, who will be making his first appearance at Sportsmans Park as an official. Under the supervision of these capable pacing men, fans are assured clean sport for .11 of them are well equipped for their particular duties. j Shelley arrived here today and took im-.taediate charge of his offices. He inspected ike list of stable registrations and said that Sportsmans Park would be in a position to offer a better brand of racing than in sev-jfiFal years. Horses are arriving here daily and just as .Hie track will not want for quality of thor-joughbreds, neither will it suffer from any shortage.
