THELMA DOR, under good rating, was mildly urged turning into the stretch and, well in hand at the end, held JAY BIRD safe. The latter lacked early speed, was steered to the inside for the final eighth and outgamcd PLAY LINE in the final strides. PLAY LINE made a bold bid turning into the stretch and continued gamely, but tired in the final forty yards. ROCKRIM, never a great distance back and on the inside for the final drive, lacked speed. GLENCOT and OUR SAMMY had no mishaps. BABY WRACK lacked speed. CHARLIE H. failed to respond to pressure in the last quarter. CAW CAW raced on the outside throughout.
