RETTEF, in close quarters rounding the far turn, Finished gamely on the inside when clear. SUN HENRY finished gamely. RED MAGIC faltered in the drive. TERMISON had early speed. HARRYS CHOICE quit. PANDISCO, well handled and never a great distance back and under mild restraint, was allowed to settle into best stride when straightened out for the stretch run and, under mild urging in the stretch, raced ALMA MAE into defeat. ALMA MAE moved to command rounding the far turn, continued strongly under pressure in the. drive, but could not withstand the winner. BIG ONE, racing forwardly from the start and on the outside, finished strongly. LAST HOP could not reach the leaders in the stretch drive. ALLEGORY raced on the outside throughout. The latter moved to the leaders with a rush, came out for the drive, took command inside the final quarter and continued gamely, but could not withstand the winner. BIG GAY, hustled from the start and racing on the outside throughout, showed a good effort. RUNMILTON, prominently placed throughout, failed to respond to pressure.
