HAWTHORNE TURF NOTES 0 : i $ Monte Weil got in from Fairmount with three horses, Bombastic, Tut Tut and Al-servant. A. J. Heffernan, steward at Hawthorne, will leave for Tanforan after the close of the local meeting. George H. Foster, secretary of the Illinois Racing Commission, left for Fairmount, but will return for Saturdays, finale at Hawthorne. Jockey J. E. Oros came in from St. Louis to join the local riding colony. The horses of Friedburg and Axton will be transferred to Lexington Sunday. The string includes Bolo, Manie OHara, Bala Ormont, Montsin, Poetic, Isolene and Horace B. Jack Hanover has charge of them. J. L. Oglesby registered Macawlee which he brought here from Fairmount for Mrs. Oglesby. H. McLeod will get away for Tanforan with Accordion, Master Mort, Battling Girl and Fogarty. M. T. Kramer Wednesday purchased the plater Exponent from Mrs. W. L. Hoag and the horse is scheduled to run under new colors Thursday. D. Womeldorff will train the horse.
