He reports nearly 200 seasoned performers quartered at Churchill Downs and Douglas Park and applications for stalls for 500 other horses for the Louisville meeting which commences Saturday, October 29. H George Wallace, Toronto, Canada, boy, who is under contract to C. Hyde Smith, had his initial mount when he rode Oddesa Farms Oddesa Doc in the second race Tuesday afternoon. Wallace is seventeen years bid and scales at ninety pounds. Judge Eugene Dailey and Millard Cox, of Louisville, were visitors. They expect to remain over for tomorrows program. Malicious, leading router of California racing and the property of Lonnie Copenhaver, will arrive here from Chicago Thursday to fill his engagement in the Latonia Cup, the feature of the closing day program. Otis Clelland shipped Mrs. R. J. Murphys Fly Time and Lady Confucius to the Murphy Farm at Evansville, Ind. Fly Time will be given a long rest. Lady Confucius is in foal to Ramoneur, the Murphy owned stallion, which holds court at Mrs. Thomas Murphys Golden Maxim place at Louisyille,. Ky. Robert Ramsey, owner of Straight Thru and half owner of the good two-year-old Mordecai, returned from Chicago, where he took in the sport at Hawthorne Monday. Tom Deahl arrived at River Downs with the platers Indian Boy and My Colin and registered them with Racing Secretary William H. Shelley. One hundred and seventy-two trainers and 742 horses are registered at Latonia. Roscoe Goose, whos horses are now quartered at Churchill Downs, notified his friends that he would be here tomorrow and expected to remain until the close of the meeting. John M6Kee, sage of Mt. Sterling, Ky., and Des Dressen, manager of the mutuel department at Detroit, are belated arrivals from the Motor City.
