Loebs Onmyway in the first race, Araway had no trouble running that one down to score by six lengths and pay .40 straight and was teletimed in 1:13 Vs. Ussery had a much harder time with the surprising Assignment, who just lasted to take the second by a nose over Lottie Wolfs Gentle Knock, who led Johnny Neruds Royal Review by seven lengths. Assignment returned 7.70 straight and required 1:54 for the journey.
