MOON DANCER moved readily after a half mile, split the field into the stretch and. under vigorous handling, outfinished MR. OAKHURST. The latter saved ground while never too far back, had to be steadied along the inside into the stretch, swung outside leaving the eighth pole and. while finishing, williimly, could not cope with the winner. BELRIA set the pace, drew off into the stretch but suddenly weakened in the late yards. TANKER raced on the outside and weakened under pressure. KEVIN D. gave ground after a half miie. WINNING WINGS, reserved behind the leader, moved readily when called upon to open up a comfortable lead into the stretch and was kept to pressure to the finish. LA TURBIE made a good run into close contention before entering the stretch, then had no further response. GIMOON tallied willingly after a" half mile and. racing very wide on the final turn, ducked in in the stretch and could not seriously menace. DR. McQUATCH moved along the insiae slightly in front of the winner on the final turn but had no late response. ROYAL HELVETIA weakened badly. EQUITACK. held under restraint behind the leader, moved between horses to reach the lead between calls leaving the far turn and. after losing command in the early stretch, came on under vigorous handling to outfinish DADDY SHERWOOD. The latter made a strong bid leaving the far turn, gained command into the stretch from between horses, was bumped by SKIN DIVER, then in midstretch came out and hit that rival, then could not withstand the winner. Jockey Mower claimed a foul against the winner which was disallowed. SKIN DIVER moved in company with DADDY SHERWOOD while being forced to lose ground as the field bunched on the final turn, lugged in bumping the later, was taken off, then was hit in the stretch and weakened. COUNTRY GOSSIP rushed strongly from the outside J into the stretch, wore down the leaders and suddenly ducked in but was quickly taken off without interfering -with LITTLE BAKER and was edging away in the late yards. LITTLE BAKER quickly drew clear and, while * holding on willingly, was not good enough. SLICK moved to near even terms with LITTLE BAKER into the 5 stretch, had to be taken hold of when attempting to lug in and weakened. FULL BROTHER was going willingly j when too late. TONES BOY quickly set up a good lead, raced several yards off the inner rail down the backstretch and around the final turn and drew off under pressure in the stretch run while drifting wide at the wire. HOME LIGHT made up ground in the drive without seriously menacing the winner. SKY MERCHANT dropped to the rail into the backstretch, made a bid on the final turn and flattened out when put to pressure. LANCE ducked in in midstretch hitting HIGH PLATEAU, then in turn was hit by that rival then outfinished him. HIGH PLATEAU was weakening when engaged in a bumping duel with LANCE. Jockey Mercier claimed foul against LANCE which was disallowed. DOUGLAS PARK raced wide on the first turn. Overweight— Home Light. 1 pound; High Plateau. 2. SEVENTH RACE 7 FURLONGS. The latter made a good move after a half mile and, finishing with good determination, just missed. WARTESIA found best stride when too late. PLATTERPUSS dropped back midway of the backstretch, attempted to rally into the stretch but could not menace under pressure. LOVLY LAURI flashed her usual speed, then retired. HEDY*S BEST disposed of FIGHTING THREE going into the backstretch, drew off to a comfortable lead while going to the far turn, lost command to LITTLE FISHOOK in deep stretch, then came on again to gain a narrow decision.
