ARAWAY forced the early pace while in hand, moved to the fore from the outside when ready on entering "the stretch, drew clear tnder a hand ride and won with authority. 0NMYWAY had her speed, saved ground and succumbed readily to the winner. ROMANTIC commenced giving way steadily after going three furlongs. DOUBLE DANGER was always outrun. LOVELY IRENE and BLUE WOMAN were far back throughout. Scratched— 13822 Be Lost, 110. ASSIGNMENT forced the early pace while in hand, came to the outside to wear down WATCH IT GROW for the lead on leaving the backstretch, rallied when headed by GENTLE KNOCK in midstretch and was all out to prove narrowly best. The latter, never far back, raced wide, gained command momentarily in midstretch and just failed to last. ROYAL REVIEW passed only tiring horses. CANNONADE appeared unwilling to extend himself throughout. ARMED TRUCE was void of early speed as usual. WATCH IT GROW stopped badly after showing speed for five furlongs. ALE, in hand early, came to the inside after going three furlongs and was all out to gain the runner-up position. FAIR CONDUCT had her speed, raced slightly wide and gave way suddenly. GANG WAR was never a contender. FEAR NO EVIL continued to perform greenly. SIX KITTENS was always far back in a dull effort. DEVI LP ROOF could not keep up. ONCE A YEAR -r maintained a striking position to the final turn where he tired when put to a drive. VISCOUNT saved ground while following in close pursuit of the leaders, was eased out to make his bid on entering the stretch, wore down MR. HAWLEY under pressure in midstretch and gradually drew out. Latter engaged TRUE BUTTS from outside early, put that one away on final bend and in a long drive held on stubbornly. PASSYUNK found his best stride too late.- TRUE BUTTS tired from his early efforts. EL HAWAS rider lost his whip soon after the start. DEHAV DOVE could not keep up. NALUR bore out in late stages. CONTY BAY, never a great distance back, moved fast from the outside when ready to wrest command in the early stretch, turned back a bold bid by BLUE LYRIC and, under continued pressure, just lasted over DAN GIDDINGS. The tatter, also forwardly placed from the start, raced wide and was getting to the winner. BLUE LYRIC was forced to race wide while making her bid on the second turn and appeared to hang slightly after making a strong rally in the midstretch.
