-J 5 Rancocas Stakes Heads Garden Card on May 15 Poly Hi Among 104 Nominees For 5,000-Added Fixture GARDEN STATE PARK. Camden. N. J.. May 9. — Juvenile fillies hold the spotlight at Garden State Park on Wednesday, May 15, when the 5,000 - a d d e d Rancocas Stakes at five furlongs will have its seasonal renewal. The spring session at Garden State Park, which began on May 4. will conclude June 1. Heading the 104 nominees is Mrs. George H. Zauderers Poly Hi, one of the brightest developments of the season. The daughter of Polynesian and High Fortidies. who cost ,500 as a yearling, has won three races and finished second in the Singing Tower. She won her debut at Hialeah by three lengths in :33%, then returned to score by five lengths in :32*5. thus becoming the only juvenile to better :33 at the meeting. Poly Hi met her first defeat in the Hialeah Juvenile Stakes wherein she was installed the odds-on favorite over such good colts as Boardman. who won the event. and Bolero U. who later went on to equal a worlds record. Moving to Gulf.stream Park, the youngster resumed her winning ways at first asking, trimming nine other good fillies. Bad racing luck possibly cost her the Singing Tower Stakes where she finished second to Casting, a half sister to Federal Hill. Harry W. Hayners Lovita H. is another Rancocas eligible which will bear watching. She is a winner and recent trials would indicate she is a filly of note.
