Field for Ascots Week-End Handicap Feature Shaping Up ASCOT PARK, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, May 9. — The ,000 Beacon Journal Handicap at six and one-half furlongs will feature Saturdays program here at Ascot Park. No less than six of the prospects for the race had registered a pair of triumphs as of Tuesday of this week. They are D. W. Sheltons Dont Fail Me, Ypsi-Bee Farms Well of Joy; C. E. Bellingers Royal Dasher, C. Jennings, Hi Finger, and Attempt and Mad Roman, the last two both from the stable of L. R. Barker. Piping Legend, with one clever score to its credit is a likely nominee in the silks of Virginia McKenney, the A. Martinez- trained sprint star having been a seven-length winner in a mid-April triumph here. Rounding to peak form after impressive seconds in top company recently are Slim Lovelaces Kathleen H.; J. A. Allens Co-liseo; J. McFarlans Olympia Blend and Johnny Rownes Match Play. .,
