Calumets Rosewood Probable Black Eyed Susan Candidate PIMLICO, Baltimore, Md., May 9 — Trainer H. A. "Jimmy" Jones disclosed that if Calumet Farms Rosewood, three-year-old filly by Bull Lea out of Easy Lass, a full sister to Coaltown, runs and comes out well in her race at Garden State Park today, he has in mind Wednesdays 0,000 Black Eyed Susan Stakes as the fillys next objective. In nine starts this year. Rosewood has won once and has been in the money three other occasions, failing to beat Cain Hoy Stables stakes filly, Jota Jota, by a nose at Gulf stream Park. The Calumet miss broke her maiden at Hialeah over a sloppy strip. She did not race in 1956. "I think she can run better than she has performed thus far," Jones stated, "and Im hopeful to race her in the Black Eyed Susan." The famed devil red and blue silks of Calumet have graced the winners circle in this mile and a sixteenth event for fillies four times since 1944. Calumets winners in that span were Ewilight Tear 1944, Wistful, dam of Gen. Duke 1949; Real Delight 1952, and Princess Turia last spring.
