Kentucky Raceways Given Dates for 25-Day Meet Track Near Florence, Ky., to Run September 7 to October 5 CHURCHILL DOWNS. Louisville. Ky., May 9.— The Northern Kentucky Turf Association, Inc., today was granted dates to conduct a 25-day thoroughbred meeting at the Kentucky Raceways near Florence, Kentucky. The meeting will be held from September 7 through October 5. The dates were granted by the Kentucky Racing Commission which held its meeting here this morning. All members of the commission were present with the exception of R. L. Brewer. The latest track on the Kentucky calendar will be managed by Peter J. ODonnell, of Louisville, who also acts in the same capacity at Ascot Park in Akron, and the new Louisville Raoing Association in Louisville. The directors of the Northern Kentucky Turf Association. Inc. are Horace S. Adams, president and owner of Ascot Park, a resident of Shaker Heights. Ohio.: Thomas P. Fitzpatrick. Covington. Ky.. James L. Clay, Lexington-attorney, Sam W. Klein, Cincinnati business man, and ODonnell. Granting of a license and dates were made contingent on the new association making improvements which were outlined to them by the commission. Adams, speaking for the new owners of the Northern Kentucky track, said that all of the requirements would be met. The Kentucky Raceway track is five-eighths of a mile.
