RUNNING REIN gradually worked her way forward under steady handlinq, responded readily when set down through the stretch and disposing of PUDDIN, retained a clear margin to the finish. ALERT BOY, far back early, saved ground during the drive but could not get to the winner. PUDDIN, a sharp factor from the start, entered the stretch with a clear lead but faltered when challenged by the winner. BINGIE gave a good effort and had no mishap. IDLES EABY bore out during the stretch run. MISS PLEASANT tired after racing forwardly placed to the stretch SWEET SISTER swerved repeatedly during the last quarter mile. KENTUCKY PEACH had early speed but failed to stay. SLIPCOVERS was through early. PIPIT, never far back, took command from ROMAN WAR entering the stretch and, after establishing a good lead, was briskly handled to withstand COMMOCALL. The latter, well placed from the outset, closed strongly but could not overtake the winner. WORRION bore out entering the stretch but finished fast when straightened for the drive. KAYS CHOICE raced evenly for a half mile and closed fairly well under urging. ONE NIGHTER tired during the stretch run. SKIP AND GO was never dangerous. CHRISTIE ADELE showed little. ROMAN WAR had early speed, stumbled when challenged by PIPIT near the stretch turn and failed to recover after the mishap. ILLGETU was unable to reach serious contention. SUCH LUCK tired. BOND DELL raced well. LITTE REAPER took an early lead, raced WISE FLEET into defeat and drew clear without need of urging. DISCORDANT, a keen factor from the start, closed determinedly but was unable to threaten the winner, although much the best of the others. WISE FLEET, forwardly placed from the outset, reached the lead between calls while engaging LITTE REAPER but failed to stay when set down for the stretch run. GRAY ADMIRAL gave a fair effort and had no mishap. DUDLEY DIXIE raced wide through the stretch. DADS DELIGHT was never prominent. FIRST FAIR, fractious at the post, began alertly but failed to stay after showing early speed. MR. W. P. could not keep up. LOUCAT showed nothing. MAR BOO was eased after he failed to extend himself. ALTICO, outrun to the stretch, made up ground during the drive and probably needed her race. AVENTINE took an early lead, set the pace until well inside the stretch but gave way when challenged by the winner. SEA REBEL tired after racing well to the stretch. ON THE JOB went to the front soon after the start, set the pace to the stretch but faltered during the drive. NOBLE WARRIOR, a keen factor from the start, settled in the stretch with a short advantage but failed to stay. SUMMER BLUES gave a good effort and had no mishap. BROWN BUBBLE v»as never dangerous. OPEN LAKE, bothered after the break by BROKEN PROMISE, was kept in hand and saved ground to the stretch, closed willingly but could not threaten the winner. GRANDPAS SUE raced forwardly placed throughout and had no excuse. BONSAND bore out entering the stretch and was caught in close quarters during the last sixteenth mile. PARAPH could not keep up.
