Bold Ruler to Seek Mondays Preakness Prep: Fitzsimmons PIMLICO, Baltimore, Md., May 9.— Wheatley Stables Bold Ruler, fourth in last Saturdays eventful 83d Kentucky Derby, will be shipped from Aqueduct to Pimlico. to appear in Mondays ,000 Preakness Prep, it was learned from Mr. Fitz today. In a telephone conversation, the veteran told the writer; "The colt will be sent down there to Pimlico, maybe Saturday, and run in the Prep before the Preakness. He is all right. Bold Ruler shipped north with Gallant Man, who failed to ship quite so satisfactorily, and whose Preakness status is in doubt as a result. Eddie Arcaro will ride Bold Ruler in both the Prep and the Preakness. I dont know if I will be there Monday, but I will for the Preaknesss." Mr. Fitz proffered no excuses for Bold Rulers showing in the Derby. "It wasnt the track, nor anything anybody else did," he said. "He just did not run his race. But he will win his share if he just stays sound and healthyV Discussing the running of the Derby, the popular octogenarian agreed, "It didnt do Bold Ruler any good when Federal Hill went out a little on the first turn and he tried to follow him. But that was his own fault. I am sure he can beat those horses at a mile Arcaro had found his mount empty after seven furlongs. He did not run his race."
