Work on Churchill Strip CHURCHILL DOWNS, Louisville. Ky., May 9. — General superintendent Tom Young announced today that the track will be closed each morning for training between 8:30 and 9:00 a. m. Young has the strip in improved condition and stated that a half hour of work during the early hours would prove most beneficial.
