Celtics Ink Ernie Barrett BOSTON, Mass., June 10 UP.— Ernie Barrett, former Kansas State basketball star, has signed with the Boston Celtics for the next season. The six-foot, three-inch guard played for the Celtics two seasons ago but voluntarily retired last season. Barrett will compete for the back-court spot left vacant by Frank Ramsey, who entered the Army, and the retirement of Fred Scolari. ♦
