Tulyar Reported Showing Slow butGradual Improvement PARIS, Ky., June 4. The Irish stallion Tulyar, purchased from the Irish National Stud for 72,000 last year, was reported showing "slow but gradual" improvement-today in his battle to recover from a colitis infection. Col. Floyd C. Sager, veterinarian for Claiborne Stud, where Tulyar is stabled, said the stallion "looks a lot better, but its a slow process." Sager said Tulyars skin condition was improved and he was eating his grain regularly. j The stallion, purchased last year by a syndicate headed by A. B. Hancock, Jr., owner of Claiborne and holder of four shares, was insured with Lloyds of London ior 50,000. Owners had expressed fear since the stallions illness lest he die after the insurance expires October 31. Tulyar has been suffering from colitis since February and has been withdrawn from stud service.
