Refund on Two Runaways On River Downs Program RIVER DOWNS, Cincinnati, Ohio, June 4. A runaway horse is not an unusual thing during a post parade. However, two to be withdrawn because of this during one afternoons program sets some kind of a record at River Downs. In the thud race, W. L. Curies Ebony M., with apprentice Jesse Parsons in the saddle, ran off for approximately six furlongs. He was ordered withdrawn and there was a 91.00 refund. In the fifth race, J. Bronnen-bergs Tex Lerno and another apprentice rider, R. L. Barnett, went off for about the same distance. This withdrawal was a bit more expensive and ,285.00 was refunded. In all the refund because of runaway horses amounted to ,976.00.
