Japanese Rider in Hazel Bow HAZEL PARK, Mich., June 4. A newcomer to Michigans saddle ranks, jockey Hiromi Uyeyama, will accept his first mount at Hazel Park on Wednesday. The Japanese youngster is scheduled to ride the good colt, Kirks JDandy, for Frank Veal. This marks the first time that a rider from Japan has been a member of Hazel Parks jockey colony, but he comes well recommended by horsemen in Canada, where he has been booting winners j home earlier this spring.
