Portersvilles early fractions in his worthy move were :35, :47, :59 and 1;12. Greentree Stables Riley also worked seven furlongs in preparation for the 0,000 added Metropolitan, getting the distance in 1:26 while being well in hand. Frank C. Brookmeade Stables Oligarchy, a three-year-old who is just a shade from being a top runner, was kept on his toes by Preston Burch who sent him a handy six furlongs in 1:14. A. J. George Zauderers Poly-Hi, -heroine of the Fashion Stakes, will remain on the sidelines while the colts have their inning tomorrow, but she showed that she is staying in top condition with a half-mile breeze turned in over the Widener course.
