ANDY JACK, slow to settle into stride, was forced to steady when in close on the first turn, again in the run down the backstretch, saved ground thereafter to the early stretch where he was brought out for the drive and, while lugging in badly, was up in the closing stages. WAR PAINT had his speed, saved ground and was all out to hold the runner-up position. LITTLE RABBIT made a bold bid while racing wide rounding the second turn to gain command momentarily a furlong out and in a, long .drive, held on stubbornly while finishing in slightly close guarters. The latter followed in closest pursuit of the winner, raced slightly wide and could not stay with that one when the real test came. TULIPA LADY had no apparent mishapJn an even effort. DREAM GIRL survived a claim of foul lodged by the rider of DANCING BOY for alleged interference in the stretch run. FALLING STAR forced the early pace while in hand, moved up boldly to wrest command on entering the stretch but was not guite good enough: DANCING BOY, never far back, was forced to race wide vhen making his bid in the late stages and while being carried slightly wide finished with good courage.
