El Khobar to Make U. S. Debut Within Ten Days HOLLYWOOD PARK, Inglewood, Calif., June 4. Woolf Fishers El Khobar, handicap champion of New Zealand and Australia," probably will make his Hollywood Park debut within the next 10 days, trainer W. J. "Buddy" Hirsch said this morning. El Khobar got his first stiff drill in break-ink from the gate today and showed no fear of the "iron monster" as he stepped three-eighths in :34Vand from the barrier. El Khobars last start was September 1 last year when he won his celebrated match race at Sydney with Syntax by six lengths at a mile and one-sixteenth. It was the first match run in the "Down Under" country in 44 years.
