QUINAP gained-ground gradually after going a quarter and, catching MAGGIE McGRAW tiring in the last sixteenth, took command but was required to do his best near the end to hold ADVANCEMENT. The latter was outrun to the stretch, then came strongly and was gaining. MAGGIE McGRAW dashed to the front, "early to open up a good lead and saved ground in thes stretch but tired badly in the last sixteenth. WADING 8UTCHER was never a threat; although moving fairly well at the end. GAL TICKS was always within striking distance of the leaders and, coming steadily on the outside in the last eighth, passed the pacesetters to win going away. LE SABRE had speed from the start and saved ground throughout but had something removed racing with SKOAL early. The latter raced on virtually equal terms with LE SABRE for a half and then headed him but weakened in the final drive. JO-CLARE was going strongly at the finish. CHATEAU was badly outrun. BURDETTA took a short lead rounding the far turn but was quickly headed by KING GLADE, then followed the latter closely into the stretch to again take command after passing the eighth pole and won handily. KING GLADE opened up nearing the stretch turn but was not good enough. SATIN PARASALL was unable to keep up early but finished well. DOGOON went to the front at once and, after setting the pace under clever rating for the first half mile, widened his advantage when called upon in the stretch and was fairly well in hand coming to the end. BESOMER began slowly but was never too far away and saved ground in the stretch to best the others. HASSEYAMPA broke well but soon dropped back to last place and then came strongly in the final eighth. JA JA was closest to DOGOON for a half and then dropped back. IN SHAPE soon raced to a prominent position and, catching the early leaders after entering the stretch, was not in danger from BREEZY NIGHT coming to the finish. BREEZY NIGHT saved ground to reach a contending position, then came to the outside in the stretch to finish well. PLUCKY WARRIOR had early speed, dropped back rearing the stretch turn and then came again in the middle of the track. BUSHIEN lacked early speed and, although closing some ground, was not dangerous. MANASSAS was under restraint for the first five-eighths, then moved fast when called upon nearing the stretch turn and, coming around the leaders, easily took command to win fairly well in hand. INNISHOWEN continued strongly after being headed by PURE PLEASURE around the far turn and again took command in the stretch to hold OLD ROMAN. The latter made a good move around the stretch turn and wejit fairly well thereafter. BOZI closed some ground in the stretch. JUNGLE was slow to begin and was oulrun for a half-mile, then came fast, after entering the stretch to catch SANDERS ROAD in the fnal sixteenth but was all out to hold NEXT PLEASE. The latter came strongly to find an opening in the stretch and was racing fast at the finish. SANDERS ROAD raced SOUTHERN SKIES into defeat and then pulled away entering ieh stretch but was not strong enough to last. RE RE PO finished fairly well. BROOK PRINCE, ROCK DOZER and IRISH SEA tired.
