HOOKANEYE attained a striking position early, raced on the outside and wore down DOMINAVE near the end. The latter, hustled along early to gain the lead, saved ground and gave way only slightly. MARENGO had no apparent excuse in an even effort. SICKLE SUE was-forced to come to the outside to obtain racing room on the turn and cculd not seriously threaten. PAVOLD found his best stride too late. TRAVELER was used up early. ..... . REHEARSER engaged ARIEL SWEEP early, put that one away nearing the half-mile grounds, continued to race slightly wide thereafter and was all out to hold BUSS UP safe. The latter, slow to begin, raced extremely wide while advancing and finished strongly. JOE HASTE forced wide early, saved ground in the run down the backstretch, was forced to come to the extreme outside to obtain racing room on entering the stretch and also finished with good courage. ARIEL SWEEP tired from his early efforts. ATTENTION SIR was forced to take up sharply when caught in the speed jam entering the first turn. ROZS FOLLY was never a contenHer.
