Myrtles Jet Stanton-Bound For Delaware Oaks Saturday DELAWARE PARK, Stanton, Del., June 15. — Another- strong candidate for Saturdays rich Delaware Oaks will be in the lineup for the mile and a furlong stake, it was learned here this afternoon. Racing Secretary J. Gilbert Haus . received word from the Maine Chance Farm in New York that Myrtles Jet will leave Idlewild Airport early tomorrow morning with two stablemates and arrive at nearby New Castle County ah- base. After the plane trip, they will be vanned to Delaware Park. Myrtles Jet was one of the top juvenile fillies of 1954. She earned 0,593 and finished her first year of racing with four victories, one second and one third in eight starts. She captured the mile and a sixteenth Frizette Stakes at Jamaica and the Alcibiades Stakes at Keeneland, among other races, and was second in the Selima and third in the Princess Pat. It was in the Selima that the Maine Chance star, owned by Mrs. Elizabeth Graham of New York, was runnerup to Wheat-ley Stables champion High Voltage, beaten less than a length. High Voltage is the advance favorite for Saturdays rich Oaks, first of the "Distaff Big Three" series.
