SWEEPING FLAG, well placed from the start, took command from CABLEON during the stretch run and drew clear while under brisk urging. CABLEON, away sluggishly, was hustled to the front before going a quarter mile, set the pace until inside the stretch, but could not stay with the top one, although easily best of the others. KING FIDDLE gave a good performance and had no mishap. DONNA began fast, then dropped back and raced evenly to the stretch, closed fairly well under punishment, but could not threaten the leaders. ANN-MAR tired after racing well to the final furlong. MISS EGYPT had no excuse. FOREMAN SAM was never dangerous. TOURNEY raced wide. HURLER had no mishap. BISMARCK showed nothing. CALM BAY raced evenly to the stretch, responded willingly when set down in the drive and, disposing of the leaders, won going away. SIR FAY, never far back but forced slightly wide entering the stretch, closed determinedly but could not seriously threaten the top one. BOLD BANDIT raced well to the final furlong, then faltered. LOVELY DEVIL saved ground from the start, took command nearing the stretch and settled for the drive with a short lead, then failed to stay. BONNE IRENE, crowded soon after the start, failed to recover, BOLD FOX lacked early speed and raced wide. SWATCH could nofkeep up after starting alertly. SPITFIRE TIME began slowly. ROYCE bore out entering the stretch. TURKOMAN was never dangerous. PLATO showed little. EMERALD BELLE raced far back the entire trip. FLO D., away .sluggishly, gradually worked way forward and finished strongly but could not get to the winner. CRAFTY SLEUTH gave a good performance and had no mishap. HAP GLAUDI had early speed but failed to stay. MISS BOXER was never dangerous. BOORAL showed little. .FIGHTING MOORE could not keep up after displaying early foot. PRESTWICK was through early. GRANITE FLYN, a sharp factor from the start, unable to overtake the top one, was easily best of the others. COURTESY BOY lacked early speed, but finished well when sent to the inside for the drive, TANBARK failed to rally when set down through the stretch. HUNT PLATE tired after showing early speed.
