One Cannot Eyen Do His Work Properly And the story of the day concerns Al Schwartz of Lincoln maintenance. Al usually walks through the plant during the afternoon, stopping to chat with his many friends, but always on the alert for the operations of his cleanup crew. He notes a dirty area, a situation that needs improving, then jots down a note to that effect on his program. Just the other day a policeman watched him marking his program after talking to someone, grabbed him by the arm and escorting him to the door, said: "Therell be no hand booking at this track." Blessbull, the property of the Brockton, Mass., liquor dealer, Morris Sims, was shipped back to New England last night by trainer Herbie Lewis, who also pulled up stakes for Narragansett, where he has a sizable public stable. Blessbull, cut up a bit in the Ocean-port here last Saturday, is nominated for the Salvator Mile on June 22 and the Carter Handicap, Aqueducts 0,000 feature on July 4. . . . F. A. Smith will have the mount aboard Edward Laskers Loquacious in Saturdays 5,000 added Delaware Oaks at the Stanton oval. . . . With River Downs recently accepted into the TRA fold, TRPB man Ed McMahon, who usually han- dies the bureaus operations in New Jersey, is in Ohio, while Jack Brennan of Spencer Draytons staff is serving as supervising agent at this meeting.
