OFF AT 5:04* EASTERN STANDARD TIME. * Start good. Won easily; second and third driving. ECK-HEART took command early, steadily increased the advantage and won with speed in reserve. EIGHTH VENTURE, well placed early, drifted to theoutside when set dpwn through the stretch and could not threaten the winner. HOOSIER BELLE lacked early foot, made a mild entering the stretch, then faltered. MISS TIDWELL was never prominent and had no excuse. DUSKY DOLL could not keep up. SLAMMINHARP, steadied while saving ground to the ixretch, remained next to the inner rail for the drive and, after taking command, held on gamely to retain a clear advantage to the finish. WILLY NILLY raced evenly within striking distance of the leaders to the stretch, drifted out during the drive and could not get to the winner. HY-LIBERTY, caught in close quarters entering the stretch, finished willingly when clear for the drive. BIDDY SUE look an early lead, raced with GOATS BEL to the stretch, then quit. GOATS BEL gave way after racing with BIDDY SUE to the stretch. NO PEEKY began fort but dropped out of serious contention immediately after the star. ARGUMENT lacked early speed, but finished fairly well under urging. PERIBROOK was never prominent and had no mishap. RIGOLADE could not keep up. BLUE NOW had early speed, but failed tfistay. ROCK DOZER gradually worked way forward to the stretch, saved ground during the drive and wore down PIGEON PIE, then held SMOOTH PALM safe. The latter lacked early speed, but finished fast in the middle of the track. PIGEON PIE took an early lead, set ilN fhe pace until well inside the stretch, then faltered when challenged by ROCK DOZER. MAGIC CHOICE raced *ell throughout and had no mishap. REVEILLE took an early lead, settled for the drive with a good advantage but faltered when nearing the finish. HERMAN L. gave* a good effort and had no mishap. ROWDY BOY failed to rally when hard ridden through the stretch. MENTHAPPY was never dangerous. MASON COUNTY showed nothing. TIGER TOI failed to stay after showing early speed.
