Cinderella Stakes Is Next J For Citation Filly, Carmel ■ HOLLYWOOD PARK, Inglewood, CalifJ June 15. — Carmel, Neil McCarthys stretch* running daughter of Citation, probably wi« make her next Hollywood Park start in tbm 0,000-added Cinderella Stakes June 3m trainer Bill Finnegan announced this! morning. Tuesday Carmel became the first! Citation offspring to notch a stakes vic tory, when she scored a two-length win! over 13 two-year-old misses in the NurserJ Stakes. J "She came out of the race in top shape] and probably will come back in the Cindern ella and then in the Hollywood Lassie," Finnegan said. The veteran trainer added that McCarthy now has a good-looking colt out of the same mare, Astrida, by his foreign-bred sire, Esprit de France. Carmel was bred in Kentucky and foaled in California. Her name is pronounced with the emphasis on the "mel" and she is named after a town in Ireland.
