I., June 15. — Saratoga, Mrs. Marion DuPont Scotts game little three-year-old colt, will be a definite starter in next Wednesdays 5,000 added Providence .Stakes at a mile and furlong according to word received here today. Trainer Frank "Downy" Bonsai plans to van the colt from Delaware Park following a scheduled workout Friday morning, arriving on the local scene early Saturday. The acceptance of the issue by Bonsai brings to New England for the first time in several years one of the top-ranking stars of the sophomore division and accords local fans an opportunity to witness in action a colt who is rated among the leaders in his age division. Just last Saturday the sturdy son of Blenheim II. — Shipshape IE. toyed with his opposition in the Leonard Richard Stakes at Delaware Park while annexing the 5,-500 winners share of the purse over a racing strip labelled as "sloppy". The colt covered the mile and furlong distance that afternoon in 1:51% while turning back such good ones as Alibhai Lashes, Thinking Cap, Imagei-i and Racing Fool. | Due to be on hand to ride Saratoga in the Providence Stakes will be his regular rfder, Nick Shuk. Others Also Coming Immediately upon receipt of the news that Saratoga would keep his engagement in the Providence Stakes came word that many more of the 35 nominees were still seriously considering shipping here for the race. Among those who are still considered as possible starters are William Ewings Alibhai Lashes, Cain Hoy Stables Racing Fool, Christiana Stables Thinking Cap, Informant, Bunny*s Babe, Portersville, Jets War Date and Mandil. Saturdays mile and one-sixteenth 5,-000-added King Philip Handicap was considerably bolstered today when word was received from Randy Sechrest, trainer of the New York division of the Charfran Stable, that he was sending their Brown Booter North to keep his engagement. The five-year-old son of Our Boots — Portable is due to pack 116 pounds in that test and at present is stabled at Aqueduct. MONMOUTH PARK, Oceanport, N. J., June 15. — Trainer Frank Bonsai confirmed plans to ship Montpeliers Saratoga to Narragansett park for the 5,000 Providence Stakes which will be run at the Pawtucket, R. I. course on June 22.
