Orioles Get Young Hurler BALTIMORE, Md., June 15 UP.— The Baltimore Orioles today signed Dick Fitzgerald, a left-handed pitcher from Lafayette College, to a contract with their San Antonio farm club of the Texas League. Fitzgerald, who has completed his sophomore year in college, worked out with several major league clubs the past two seasons. He said that he signed with Baltimore because he was impressed with the instruction he received from Oriole pitching coach Harry Brecheen.
