Kentucky ; By Joe Thomas Blue Choir Ninth Import to Win Stakes Westward Ho Result of Longs 25 Buy Judy Rullah Pointing for Pollyanna LEXINGTON, Ky., June 15.— Blue Grass breeders winced again following the 0,000-added Balmoral Turf Handicap Saturday when it proved to be another v-ioirtjijr jlui tin linyui oeu racer. This time it was Mrs. H. L. Nath-ensons previously unheralded Irish-bred Blue Choir who turned the trick to become the ninth imported stakes winner of 1955. Only four of these — Poona n, Mister Black, Blue Butterfly and Bell O Shannon — have been able to achieve this status on the dirt. The others — Stan, St. Vincent, Blue Choir, Cascanuez and Sur-gente — scored over the turf. What concerns some local breeders is that the apparent superiority of foreign-breds over the turf, plus continued expansion of the sport over the grass, may soon have an unfavorable effect on the market for domestic thoroughbreds. Part of this feeling is based on the belief that each year there is just so much money available for investment in thoroughbreds, and when part of it goes abroad, there is less spent here.
