BELLE CHANTEUSE, badly outrun to the second turn, rallied from the outside and wore down BRAVE ADMIRAL with a rush in the final sixteenth. The latter, held in reserve for six furlongs, moved through between horses on entering the stretch to wrest command nearing the final furlong, but was not quit good enough. MELPET saved ground and faltered in the late stages. FLAMENCO II. flattened out after making a strong bid on the stretch turn. JETFAST pulled up lame. RANGE CARDINAL was used up in vying for the early lead. ONWARD showed speed for six furlongs and tired. DRIVING EASY refused at the start and unseated her rider.
