RAVEN WING forced the early pace while in hand, came extremely wide into the stretch in the better footing and wore down SUBMERSION with a rush. The latter had her speed, raced slightly wide and gave way readily. QUEENING IT was well placed but lacked a closing rally. JOE DOAKS passed only tiring horses. GENERAL FRED moved fast from between horses after going a half mile, wrested command from between horses while drifting out badly in the upper stretch and narrowly missed in a long drive.
