George Holmes Mother Dies GLENDALE, Calif., May 14. Mrs. Calina A. Holmes, mother of George I. Holmes, member of the California Horse Racing Board, died yesterday in Glendale Sanitarium. Mrs. Holmes was 77 years old and succumbed to a- heart ailment. Funeral arrangements have not been completed pending the arrival of the immediate family. Burial will be private. It is requested that flowers be omitted and a contribution be made to the Heart Association instead.
