Maumee Appreciation Day MAUMEE DOWNS, Maumee, Ohio, May 14. Officials of the Maumee Downs track have designated Monday as Appreciation Day and all fans will be admitted free of charge. The Maumee meeting: will come to a close on Tuesday, "the session being curtailed two days by the management, due to the opening of the Michigan Racing: Association meeting Wednesday in Detroit at which many of the officials at Maumee also will work.
