Several Radio-TV Broadcasts Scheduled for Balmoral Racing The opening of Balmoral Jockey Clubs spring meeting at Washington Park on Monday will be highlighted on several radio-TV broadcasts. Balmoral president Hubert E. Howard will appear on the Bob Elson sports review over WCFL, Chicago at 6 p. m. today Friday, May 15. WCFL also will broadcast the opening day feature the 5,000 Tri-State Stakes direct from Washington Park on a 44-station network. Special film stories of the Balmoral opening will be carried by WBBM-TV and WGN-TV, Chicago, with radio interviews on the weekly-nightly WBBM radio sports-cast by John P. Carmichael. Another interview is scheduled on WTAQ, LaGrange, Illinois, for Saturday, May 16 at 10:30 a. m. Jack Brickhouse will show the official sound film of each days feature on his week-night sportscast at 7:20 p. m. on WGN-TV, Chicago. WBBM-TV will carry official sound films of top races on its week-end sports shows Saturdays at 6 p. m. and Sundsys at 10 p. m.
