Tomy Lee Again Tests Hollywood Park Strip Kentucky Derby Hero Is Given Light Gallop to Keep in Trim HOLLYWOOD PARK, Inglewood, Calif., May 14. Kentucky Derby champion Tomy Lee tested the Hollywood Park strip for the second straight morning today, being galloped lightly, while two other Derby horses, Finnegan and Monks Hood, worked as activity among the sophomores was heavy. Tx-ainer Frank Childs had exercise boy Hubie Trent merely gallop Tomy Lee, keeping him active while awaiting his next start. Finnegan breezed a half-mile in :49 and it was the first time the Neil McCarthy colt had been worked since returning from Kentucky. His stablemate, the Debonair Stakes winner Ole Fols, displayed fine speed in a 7 furlongs drill of 1:26, the final furlong in :13. Another sophomore prepping for the 5,000 added Will Rogers Stakes on Memorial Day, Earl Stice and Sons Monks Hood, showed he was over the ailments which kepyiim out of the Kentucky Derby when he stepped three-quarters in 1:12, after an opening half in :46Vand. Milo Val-enzuela was aboard. Royal Living was given a stiff work by trainer Charley Whittingham. The Llangollen star went a mile in 1:40. Swirling Abbey, getting ready for a return to action, went 6 furlongs in 1:13 and stablemate Skliy Sullivan, with jockey Don Pierce, up, breezed 5 furlongs in 1:01. Also nearing a return to competition is Find, Alfred Vanderbilts stakes star, who breezed three-quarters in 1:16.. v
