In second position, beaten a length and a half, was Hellenic Stables Ram, who was two and one-half lengths clear of Edward D. Smiths Coupe de Canon. Perne L. Gris-soms Innishowen, 13-10 favorite with the crowd of 9,379, seemed unable to handle the soft footing and finished fifth in the field of seven horses.
