BRAVE PILOT circled horses on the turn racing tocontention, then finished - evenly behind his stablemate. CHALVEDELE moved boldly on the turn while saving ground and continued on well in the drive to take the show. IMPROVE could not gain in the drive. SAN-JO-MAR held a threatening position to midstretch and faltered. SAINTED DEVIL sprinted to the front at the break, opened a long lead racing to the stretch and stopped to a walk. The latter, hustled to a long lead early, could not withstand the winner and just lasted for the pace. LORD GREGOR lacked his usual speed away from the gate and responded only mildly when set down. VELOZ II. rallied belatedly. TENDER MORSEL got through between horses initiating his run leaving the backstretch, but could not reach contention DOSHAY was never a factor, ROYAL FLOAT was through early.
