BUNNY EARS, unhurried in the early stages, moved from the outside on the final turn and wore down the leaders in midstretch. BE-GIN, never, a great distance back, was forced to come to the extreme outside to obtain racing room cn entering the stretch and finished with good courage. BUZZARDS BAY improved his racing position when called upon, but could not seriously menace the winner. COMANCHE found his best stride too late. CRUSADE was hard used in wearing down ENTERPRISER for the first five-eighths and had little left when the real racing began. HARLEM KING pulled up lame COPIER was always far back. DADLEY had speed from the start, raced a tri.r!e wide to the stretch and held on stubbornly to finish on even terms with LITTLE CYNTHIA. The latter, r.ecr a great distance back, moved up boldly between horses entering the stretch, was in close quarters, momentarily in midstretch and when clear she finished with good courage. CUANTATIVE had speed, saved ground and held on. fairly well. SWADELLETTE was well placed along the inside but was forced to come out to obtain racing rcom on entering the stretch and faltered in the final drive. ADMIRALS GLEE was always far back. JUKE, prominent from the start, raced on the outside all the way and under strong handling outfinished SHEER W0RTHv The latter had speed, saved ground, turned back BOFRANC while under pressure on entering the stretch arid, in a sustained drive held on stubbornly. BUSY EVENING, slow to start, commenced to advance from the outside after a half mile and hung after making a strong bid in the early stretch. BOFRANC quit after racing with the top flight to the furlong marker. RUGGED ODDS was blocked while making a strong bid along the inner rail on entering the stretch. WOHNEDA .was always far back. MELZAR, hustled along early to gain a striking position, raced between horses to the early stretch where he commenced drifting out and, under continued urging, turned back MAMSELLE and then had enough left to hold STURDY SISTER safe. The latter held in reserve early, moved up on the outside to the stretch, was forced to alter course and finished with good courage. MAMSELLE gave way suddenly after racing with the lop flight to midstretch. SHERIFF MEEHAN was used up in vying for the early lead. NIGHT OWL was never a contender. TRILLION showed some early foot.
