BETSY T saved ground from the outset, remained next to the inner rail and in the deepest going during the stretch run and faltered in the last sixteenth. SWEET JOSIE, a sharp factor from the start, gave a good performance and had no excuse. PRINCE TRACE was outrun and had no mishap. BETTYS BEAUTY lacked early foot. COLS DAUGHTER took an early lead, gave way to, TONSINA when nearing the stretch, then steadily dropped but of serious contention. SHARBOT raced wide throughout. FOXIE JEANIE had early speed, was caught in close quarters nearing the stretch and, taken up sharply, failed to recover. ORCHID disliked the muddy track. GEOFFREY G., crowded immediately after the break, raced forwardly placed thereafter, went to the front approaching the stretch and settled for the drive with a short lead but could not withstand the winner, although easily best of the others. FACES EAST raced evenly throughout and had no mishap. COLORADO FOX began slowly and could not handle the muddy track.
